Dreamtime stories are important to Aboriginal people, their culture and religion. They encapsulate the beliefs of how the land, the waters and the sky were created, and provide morals for young Aboriginal children. Before white settlement, they were passed on through words from generation to generation. Some dreamtime stories are shared between nations, though sometimes with different names such as the story of Molok (or Tidalick) the Frog. Others are unique to the people and the lands upon which they reside.
